Annual COR Renewal
Caltech Surveys Ltd. recently accomplished an overall achievement rating of 86% during an internal audit review of the Occupational Health and Safety systems within the requirements of the Alberta Human Resources and Employment Parterships in Health and Safety Guidelines.
This annual documentation review coupled with interviews with management and staff as well as observations at field worksites yielded excellent ratings in Hazard Identification and Control, Training, and Communication. Some key points from the executive summary report are listed below.
- The Caltech Surveys Ltd. management team is providing strong support and commitment to their health and safety program by ensuring adequate resources are available
- Employees interviewed were very knowledgeable of workplace hazards and controls that can be used
- A good orientation program is in place that meets industry and legislative standards
- Compliance to Industry and government standards was observed at all sites observed during the observation tour
- All mobile equipment inspected was found to be in good order and well maintained
- This fast growing organization has developed and implemented a fit-for-purpose health and safety program that meets most of the requirements of the Partnerships program
Further suggestions from the audit review are currently being evaluated and implemented to maintain and build upon Caltech Surveys’ Health and Safety procedures.
